Nachdem ich bei diesem Bild jetzt die
neue, gelbe Tusche verwendet habe (leider sticht diese nun nicht mehr
so wirklich hervor), habe ich mich auch nach langer Zeit wieder mal
an Wasserfarben getraut. Und das eigentlich aus einem ganz simplen
Grund – die Copic Marker, die ich normalerweise verwende, lagen bei
meiner Schwester, ich wollte das Bild aber unbedingt colourieren. Not
macht eben erfinderisch. ;-)
Wasserfarben kennt ja jeder, denn im
Kunstunterricht in der Schule muss man sie zwangsläufig einsetzen.
Ich glaube, ich habe noch nie ernsthaft nach meiner Schulzeit ein
Bild mit Wasserfarben gezeichnet. Ich hatte immer großen Respekt
davor, denn hier den richtigen Farbton zu treffen ohne, dass das Bild
davon schwimmt oder für immer versaut ist, ist knifflig. Dachte ich
zumindest, denn als ich erst mal dabei war, hat es sich als ganz
einfach herausgestellt. Ich hatte sehr viel Spaß dabei.
Zur Entstehung:
Zu allererst hatte ich die Idee von
einer Frau mit flammenden Wimpern, die nach oben sieht. Ich habe ein
wenig rumprobiert und schließlich ist diese Elfe dabei entstanden.
Obwohl ich das Element Feuer sehr mag, wollte ich hier nicht schon
wieder Rot verwenden (s. a. mein Bild „Fire Witch“). Also habe ich
Gelb gewählt. Dann war das Blatt mit der Dame aber noch so leer,
also kam mir die Idee mit dem Drachen, den sie ausatmet. Ich mag
Drachen sehr, zeichne sie aber viel zu selten, also ist das hier mal
ein kleiner Anfang. Als nächstes kam dann eben die Landschaft ins
Spiel. Sie sollte nicht zu viel Aufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen, aber
trotzdem ein Blickfang sein. Und am allermeisten konnte ich mich hier
wieder am Himmel austoben. Ich habe erst mit Wasserfarben alles
gemalt und dann mit Bleistift kleine Akzente gesetzt bzw. schattiert.

Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich ganz zufrieden
und hoffe, dass es euch auch gefällt.

After
I’ve used the new yellow ink on this picture (unfortunately you
can’t really see the effect anymore, because I’ve already
coloured the picture), I’ve decided to give watercolours a try,
since it was a long time since the last time I’ve used them. The
reason for this was simple – the copic markers I’ve always used
had not been available for me at that moment (they were stored at my
sister’s place) and I absolutely wanted to colour the picture.
Necessity is the mother of invention ;-)
Almost everybody
knows watercolours from the art lessons during school and I’ve
always had a lot of respect for the artists who could use them. It’s
not easy to get the right shade of colour without creating a disaster
which results in your picture swimming away or something like that.
At least that’s what I’ve thought before I used the colours on
this picture. I had a lot of fun working with watercolours and I
think they give you great possibilities. You can create wonderful
effects with them.
Some words about the
creation of the picture:
First,
I’ve had the idea of a woman with flaming eyelashes who’s looking
up. I’ve started to make some sketches and the result was this
Elven lady. Although I like the element of fire really much, I didn’t
want to use the colour red again (as I did on my picture “Fire
Witch”). So, I’ve chosen yellow. But the picture was still too
empty, until I suddenly got the idea with the little dragon in her
breath. I like dragons, but I don’t draw them often, so this was
something new for me. The next step was the background. I didn’t
want for it to take too much attention away from the woman, but still
wanted to create something eye-catching. One of the most pleasurable
parts for me was to paint the sky. I started out with watercolours
and made little effects with the pencil afterwards.
I am quite content
with the result and I hope you like it, too.
